REGULAR MEETING - called to order at 4:00 pm December 17, 2009
ROLL CALL/ATTENDANCE - Karen Baber, Lesa Anderson, Tim Kitts & William Qualls present.
OFFICER REPORTS - Treasurer Report given - will be posted to the BH website. Boosters will engage our accounting personnel to review last year and this year's income and expenses. This will provide us a balance for each sport from last year to this.
OLD BUSINESS
REVIEW/UPDATE BOOSTER BYLAWS - At the workshop held 12/7 the motion before the officers to approve the bylaws were approved to be typed in order to be brought before the Booster Board for approval at the spring board meeting.
PRACTICAL PIG - On or by January 11th Boosters will hold one small storage unit at the practical pig. (Karen and Lesa will move out all BH school items and consolidate.)
FOOTBALL LOCK-IN FRIDAY - JAN. 29 - Chuck is working on this and will report when he has the details finalized.
ATHLETIC BANQUET - Moving date to May 7, 2010. Placing a deposit at the Edgewater Resort on PCB. Boosters signed up for Sportscation fundraiser; we make money if anyone stays at an Edgewater property and mentions our school. Boys Baseball would like to join our banquet celebration and will be paying those costs like each of the other sports.
SOCCER/BASKETBALL TRYOUT MEETING TONIGHT - Tonight after this meeting, Girls Soccer and Boys Basketball tryout meeting will be held - Boosters have updated the form regarding the costs and what they cover; mainly transportation.
NEW SPIRIT ITEMS - Boosters has decided to wait until we have the monies updated by our accounting personnel before purchasing any new items.
NEW BUSINESS
Request from Mr. Shannon -The BH Basketball coach requested to have the parents of the Basketball team man the gate and the concessions and collect those monies for Basketball. Boosters decided from now on to share these monies between Cheerleading (who is currently collecting this) and the other sports. Each sport will man their gate and concessions and collect these monies and share them with Cheerleading, as cheerleading does not host their own game it is the only way for them share in that fundraiser.
Boys & Girls Basketball - Mr. Polk has set up a fundraiser with Winn Dixie to bag groceries for their fundraiser.
Girls Softball - There will be a meeting at the Lynn Haven Recreational Center to discuss possibly playing all of the schools thru the Rec. League within the next 2-3 weeks.
