Dance Dress Code

Dear Parents:

Each student has received a copy of the Dance Dress Code earlier this year. They have signed for receipt of this letter and our desire is for you to keep this for future reference. You may print a copy from this site if you desire. Only Bay Haven middle school students are allowed to attend Bay Haven dances. Since we made these regulations available to all students and we review them on our ITV system prior to dances it is understood that the students are responsible for compliance. It is not the schools responsibility to individually contact every parent.

Boys and Girls No Denim of any kind or color as any part of your apparel

Girls (Think modesty)

Dresses or skirts to knee (uniform pants are acceptable)
No off the shoulder apparel
All dresses must have a minimum of 2” straps. No lace or alteration of spaghetti straps is acceptable. Halter tops and/or halter necks are not acceptable
V-neck or scoop neck tops must have a T-shirt or camisole underneath
The T-shirt or camisole must be tucked in
Absolutely no cleavage may be showing
No mid-driff may be exposed period
No bare back
You may not wear any of the non-permissible clothing and cover it with a sweater, shirt, jacket, wrap, etc…
Sandals or dress shoes are acceptable


Boys

Dress shirts (button down)
Polo shirts
Dress pants (uniform pants acceptable)
It has been determined that short pants are not acceptable.
All shirts must be tucked in
Belts required
Clean shoes and socks required (No sandals)


Students will report to the entrance by Middle School drop off and will be checked in to the dance by administrators/chaperones. Parents may not drop students and leave until all apparel is approved. The students must pass the acceptable dance dress test.

There will be a window of time for drop off. If you are not here on time or you fail the dress test you may not be able to enter the dance. The window of time is 30 minutes after the dance begins.

Any questions please put them in writing to Dr. Kitts, Mrs. Higgins, Mr. Polk or Ms. Sklarski. We have provided a handout to all students, covered the details of dress on the ITV for one week prior to the dance, the Dance Dress Code is on the website and we are available to review any dress prior the dance.
